At the end of March and mid-April, work for the first part of planting generally begins in Intabaco.
The nursery stage is the first part in the production process for the layer sheet.
To start this year we built a new nursery, with all the new facilities, on a large piece of land and in a very good location.
In the nursery, buckets are used where the tiny seeds are placed in the middle of the substrate, so that they germinate and we have the result of small seedlings called postures.
About the buckets, this year we need more, because our nursery is bigger.
Once the buckets were purchased, we were ready to start.
Thus we began the Nursery stage, with the sowing of the seeds in the prepared substrate, having a plan to observe the evolution of the seedlings, climate control and an environment management route.
Many days of work in nurseries await us, to later transplant the seedlings to the field.
